The Review

A captain's home at the edge of the old harbour, where breakfast runs late and nobody minds at all.

Good to know

Practical things, briefly.

Getting there

A 30-minute flight from Athens to Paros airport (PAS), or the ferry from Piraeus, between three and 5 hours depending on what you book. The boat is more pleasant if you have the time.

The food

Breakfast at the property until ten. For dinner, Mario at the old harbour for the fish that came in that morning, Sigi Ikariou for slow-cooked traditional dishes, Diamantis on Kolymbithres beach if you want to swim before you eat.

Worth doing

Naoussa harbour at dusk when the boats come back in. The cobbled walk to Lefkes village, an hour each way. Kolymbithres for the rock pools. A day boat to Antiparos if you book 2 days ahead.

The detail

Open April to October. 7 rooms, a cliffside pool and sun terrace. Greek spoken with very good English and Italian.
