Launching 2027
A honey-stone manor in the Cotswold hills, 14 rooms of log fires and deep baths, with a walled garden, a good kitchen and dogs asleep by the door.
Marden Hall is the England people imagine and rarely find: a 17th-century house down a lane, sheep on the hill, a village pub within walking distance. Crew use it to disappear for a couple of nights without getting on a plane.
The 14 rooms run from cosy eaves to grand four-posters, all with proper beds, good bathrooms and a view of the garden or the valley. Downstairs it is flagstones, fires and a bar that keeps local ale and a long gin list.
“You walk in off the lane, the fire is lit, and a dog you have never met decides you are its person for the weekend.”
The kitchen cooks what the farms nearby grow, Sunday lunch is an institution, and there is a small spa in the old stables for the afternoon it rains. Which, being England, it will.

Rooms
The main-house rooms are the grand ones: four-posters, big windows, deep baths, a view down the valley. Worth the difference for a special couple of nights.
The eaves rooms are cosier and cheaper, tucked under the roof with sloping ceilings and plenty of character.

Eating
The dining room cooks what the local farms grow, and Sunday lunch is an institution worth planning a stay around. Book it ahead.
The village pub is a short walk for the night you want something simpler. Breakfast is a full English, included on the crew rate.

Grounds & walks
A walled garden, lawns and valley walks start from the door. The market towns and great gardens of the Cotswolds are a short drive.
There is a small spa and indoor pool in the old stables for the afternoon the weather turns.

A few things to know
- Weekends and Sunday lunch book up; midweek is quieter.
- It is properly rural; you will want a car.
- English weather; pack for rain even in summer.
- Some eaves rooms are cosy rather than large.
- The spa is small, a treatment room and pool rather than a big wellness wing.
